Putnam County Middle School will soon be home to a new makerspace, thanks to funding received by Putnam Education Foundation.

The makerspace will be equipped with 3-D printers and other design resources and will provide a place for students to explore, innovate, and learn.  The space will also allow teachers to integrate more hands-on activities to support instruction.

The $18,000 grant, from Views on Learning, also includes funding for teachers to attend a training conference so they can more deeply understand how to best utilize the new resources in support of learning.

The mission of Putnam Education Foundation is to connect community resources with the needs of students so that our children thrive.

Donations from the community help us provide support to students and teachers across the district.
