Reading is Lit!

Awarded $1500

This grant will help transform the school library into a more welcoming, engaging space that inspires a love of reading, especially for our youngest learners. Funds will support forward‑facing book bins for PreK–2 students, making it easier for them to browse by cover and discover books they’re excited about. New genre signs will guide students to topics they love, from sports to animals and beyond.

The project also includes updated, age‑appropriate décor and the purchase of fresh, high‑interest titles to replace more than 3,000 outdated books recently removed from the collection. With these improvements, students will visit the library not because they have to, but because they want to — building stronger reading habits and genuine enthusiasm for books.
