Math Through Play: Counting & Shapes
Awarded $1500
Hello, my name is Janice Daniels, and I am a Lead Teacher at Putnam County HeadStart Early Learning Program. We are excited to share that our classroom has been approved for a grant to support Math Through Play.
This grant will allow us to bring in new materials and resources that encourage hands-on learning, problem-solving, and creativity. With this funding, we will be able to enhance our math centers with engaging tools that help children build early math skills such as counting, sorting, patterns, measurement, and number recognition. These materials will support learning through play, allowing children to explore math concepts in a fun and meaningful way.
The grant will also help us create more interactive and purposeful play experiences. Through play, children strengthen critical thinking, social skills, and confidence. By combining math and play, we can better support different learning styles and provide more opportunities for exploration and discovery.
Overall, this grant will help create a richer learning environment that supports growth, curiosity, and a love for learning. We would like to THANK Putnam Education Foundation for awarding us with this grant.
